The 'resolving' chapter focuses on the two main ways in which complaints and other matters are handled through to their resolution - Local Resolution and investigation.
The chapter also deals with the discontinuance of investigations that have already begun.
A specific section in this chapter addresses the duties of communication with complainants, officers and police staff and with interested parties while a complaint investigation is under way.
